2011 December Graduates

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is seeking dedicated teachers for positions, which will be available beginning January 2, 2012. Interested graduates are requested to submit an online application as soon as possible. This is an opportunity to gain valuable full-time teaching experience with the 2011 broad prize winners.

Application Process

  1. Create an account with a username and password.
  2. Complete the application and attach any supporting documents (e.g., degree-dated transcripts, current teaching license, résumé, etc.).
  3. Apply directly to the 2011 December Graduate posting for special consideration and a streamlined process.
  4. Once your account is set up, you may return to the application as often as necessary to update information, attach additional documents and apply for specific openings as they become available.
  5. You may also wish to consider applying to specific schools and positions related to your area(s) of certification. However, the 2011 December Graduate Talent Pool offers a broader range of opportunities and special consideration from principals.
  6. Complete the reference section of the application. Your references will be contacted via e-mail. Applications require a minimum of three reference forms to be returned. At least one reference must be from a current/former principal or employer. We also accept references from professors, university supervisors and cooperating teachers. We cannot accept references from friends, co-workers or relatives.
  7. After submitting your application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
