Student achievement cannot take place without great teaching. We attract and retain enthusiastic and ambitious teachers and educational staff. We rank among the top five districts nationally in the number of both new and total number of teachers earning National Board Certification. We provide professional-development opportunities and teacher-incentive programs that strengthen skills and foster innovative teaching methods and concepts that improve instruction.
Instructional positions refer to those positions within the district that require a North Carolina teacher licensure and are paid based on the State Salary Schedule.
All instructional vacancies require a current North Carolina teaching license or the eligibility to hold a North Carolina license in the specific content area.
