The 100th Day of School is a day of celebration at many elementary schools. This year, the 100th Day of School is Feb. 6. Teachers across the district put together exciting lessons related to the number 100 through games and experiments.
Here are some of the 100th Day of School activities at CMS.

Students at Ashley Park Pre-K-8 School estimated jars of 100 objects, wrote about what they would like to do with $100, wrote about what they will look like at 100 years old, made necklaces of 100 objects, made 100th Day hats and crowns and ate 100 objects.

Students at McKee Road Elementary paraded around the school with 100th Day headbands. While in centers, they participated in counting activities and then found and graphed items in the classroom.

Kindergarten students at Torrence Creek Elementary discussed what life would be like when they are 100. Like their teacher, Shayna Cashner, right, many students dressed for a day as a 100-year-old.

Celebrations continued with a Torrence Creek class collecting more than 100 canned good items for Angels and Sparrows Soup Kitchen. They donated 122 canned goods to help those less fortunate.
