The Ardrey Kell High Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the 2011 North Carolina Music Educators Association Annual In-Service Conference in Winston-Salem. Under the direction of Larry Shane, the band will perform at the M.C. Benton Convention Center on Monday, Nov. 14, to an audience of thousands.
This is an enormous honor and Ardrey Kell was one of only two high school bands selected from the entire state of North Carolina to perform at the State Conference, Shane said.
The band will give a free preview concert of their state conference performance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at in the school’s auditorium. The Nov. 10 concern is open to the public.
