CMS announced three principal transfers and four administrative appointments at the June 26 Board of Education meeting.
Appointments:
- Kevin Sudimack, currently assistant principal at Ranson IB Middle, has been named principal at Kennedy Middle. Sudimack was also an assistant principal at Alexander Graham Middle from 2004-2011. He earned a master’s in educational administration from Ashland University in 2002 and a bachelor of arts from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1998.
- Margaret Scott, currently New Leaders for New Schools resident principal at Sedgefield Elementary, has been named principal at University Meadows Elementary. From 2008-2011, Scott was a program director for Teacher for America Charlotte. She earned a school administration certificate from New Leaders for New Schools in 2012 and a bachelor of arts from the University of North Carolina in 2005.
- Nizy John, currently assistant principal at Ballantyne Elementary, has been named principal at Polo Ridge Elementary. John also served as assistant principal at David Cox Elementary from 2004-2010. She earned a master’s in school administration and curriculum and instruction from the College of William and Mary and a master of arts from Titus II College in India. She also earned a bachelor of arts in English literature from B.C.M. College in India.
- Jason Bissinger, currently assistant principal at Dilworth Elementary, has been named principal at Winget Park Elementary. From 2008-2010, Bissinger was an assistant principal at Joseph W. Grier Academy. He earned a master’s in school administration from Gardner-Webb University in 2008 and a bachelor of science in health and physical education from Radford University in 1999.
Transfers:
- Patricia Riska, currently on special assignment, has been named principal at Highland Mill Montessori.
- Melissa Dunlap, currently principal at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle, has been named principal at Vance High School.
- Jennifer Dean, currently principal at Bailey Middle, has been named principal at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle.
All reassignments are effetive July 1.
