The Board of Education gave an audience to Charlotte-Mecklenburg's teachers at its February 14 meeting. At that meeting, five of the nine teacher working teams gave updates on the measures of effectiveness they’ve been developing since the 2010-2011 school year. The five teacher facilitators represented teams of teachers formed as part of the Talent Effectiveness Project.
The remaining four working teams will present their updates at the February 28 meeting. All nine potential measures, designed to provide an holistic method of evaluation, support and development for teachers, will be presented to the Board along with the teachers' final recommendations in May.
