STORM WATER ENVIRONMENTAL VIDEO CONTEST

Please share this information with your media specialists and science department

CMS and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services (CMSWS) are looking for creative videos to promote storm water issues to schools and the general public. Together, we are holding a district-wide contest to find a new video that will be used by CMSWS and CMS to educate students and the public about storm water and ways they can help keep surface waters clean.  This is an exciting and educational opportunity to get our students involved in the protection of the environment.

The new videos will help fulfill CMS’s Phase II Permit Program as specified in the Clean Water Act which requires CMS to educate students and teachers on storm water issues. This new permit has many facets, including pollution prevention education and encouraging volunteerism.

The winning videos will be shown on Channel 16, the CMSWS Website, the CMSWS Facebook Page, as well as by CMS to promote storm water issues.
