Support Services is responsible for providing financial and administrative support including budget development and analysis, procurement services, contract administration, information technology support, accounts payable, and payroll. The department provides periodic financial training regarding internal/state policies and procedures to ensure Building Services staff members are kept abreast of ongoing changes. The department is customer service focused and interacts with a variety of internal and external customers in the performance of duties.
The department’s primary customers include Building Services staff, CMS Budget, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Human Resources staff, privatized vendors and contractors, school based staff including principals, and the general public. The department serves as the liaison between Building Services and the CMS Finance, Human Resources and Technology departments regarding resolution of various financial, human resources and information technology issues.
