The Mobile Classroom Management area is responsible for allocating and placing mobile and modular classrooms to temporarily accommodate student population growth.
As a function of planning for growth, members of the Mobile Management Group are responsible for the allocation and placement of the mobile and modular classrooms. They must address, on an annual basis, the number and placement of these units throughout the district. Ninety percent of the more than 1200 units in service are moved within five years of initial placement. The planning of new purchases, relocations, and removal from service of the oldest units is a difficult task. Team members are also responsible for oversight of each move, set-up, and tear-down; all these tasks must be performed prior to the start of each school year.
