Schools across Charlotte are looking for volunteers to serve as proctors during end-of-grade and end-of-course exams this month and early next month.
North Carolina requires proctors be present during the year-end exams in elementary, middle and high schools.
Volunteer proctors serve an important role as additional monitors who help the test administrator ensure testing occurs fairly and uniformly. Proctors must attend a test administration training session before each test administration and understand and agree to carry out the duties described in the training. Proctors must do their part to help the test administrator ensure the test scores of the students in the room where they serve as proctors are the result of an ethical and fair test administration.
If you're interested in serving as a proctor and you are not already a registered CMS volunteer, please register at www.cmsvolunteers.com and select the school of your choice.
