A healthy school environment includes the physical and aesthetic surroundings and the safety, security, climate and culture of the school. Factors that influence the physical environment of the school building and the areas surrounding it include physical conditions (temperature, noise, light, indoor air quality) and the psychological environment that affects the well-being of students and staff (safety, security, emotional and social conditions).
