Media Room
Rumor Has It

People do talk. That’s always been true and with the rise of social media, the speed with which gossip and rumor can spread is measured in nanoseconds. Sometimes, despite our best efforts to get accurate information out in a timely fashion, misinformation about our district, our staff or our students can circulate quickly. Or there will be incorrect information about what we’re working on or what our plans are.

We want our families, our staff and our community to have accurate information about CMS. This page, which we’re calling Rumor has it…. will allow us to give you the real story about what you might have heard on the grapevine. Whether it’s budget information, test data or anything else -- when you hear a rumor about it, visit this page to get the real story! If you hear something you’re curious about, send us an email at superintendent@cms.k12.nc.us and we’ll answer your question here.
