The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education approved at its May 12 meeting Calendar B, one of two calendar options CMS put to poll last month, as the 2010-2011 school calendar.

More than 4,600 CMS staff, parents, community members and students participated in the poll, with 1,736 choosing Calendar A and 2,896 choices for Calendar B. The poll ran from April 22 through April 30.

Calendar B, which meets the requirements of North Carolina law, North Carolina Board of Education and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education policies, offers a late spring break, April 18-22, 2011, and has 14 inclement weather make-up days. To view the calendar, click here.
