Every Child -- College or Career Ready
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has developed this site to provide you with quick access to reliable information and resources on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The CCSS initiative is a state-led effort to establish a single set of educational standards for kindergarten through 12th grade in English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics based on the best research and the highest state standards across the country and internationally. These standards are designed to ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to go to college or enter the workforce and are competitive in the emerging global marketplace. We hope you find this site a convenient way to stay informed about this important effort that will help CMS prepare every child every day for a better tomorrow. We will update this site periodically with additional resources as available.
