COVID-19 information: March 12, 2020

On March 12, CMS learned from the Mecklenburg County Health Department that two individuals in the county tested presumptive positive. Today, the Mecklenburg County Health Department said there is no need to close schools at this time.

Earlier this week, CMS canceled all field trips in and outside of Mecklenburg County indefinitely. The exceptions are athletic, band, choral, art, JROTC and chess competitions, and those trips should continue as planned at this time. The district will post information about any changes.

Districtwide cleaning efforts are continuing at schools and on buses.

If your child is sick, please keep your child home. If your child is exhibiting symptoms and you have questions, please contact your doctor or the Mecklenburg County Health Department at 980-314-9400 to receive further guidance.

Please visit the CMS website and follow the district on social media for additional updates. Thank you for helping to keep our community safe and healthy.
