CMS leaders provided a brief presentation about the proposed Phase I changes to the Student Assignment Plan and answered community questions.  Phase I is focued on expanding choice options and creating more socioeconomically-diverse learning​environments for students. Topics include: increasing choice options across all areas of the county; reconfiguring transportation zones to expand access to choice options within each transportation zone (home school assignments will not be impacted); adding home school performance and socioeconomic status priorities in the school options lottery and; revising school options entry and continuation requirements.

Approximately 100 people participated in person and another 500 participated online.  Click here to see answers to questions raised by community members.  These answers are being updated as quickly as possible.
