CMS leaders shared proposed changes and answered community questions about the Phase I student assignment proposal to expand choice options and create more socioeconomically-diverse learning environments for students. Topics included: increasing choice options across all areas of the county; reconfiguring transportation zones to expand access to choice options within each transportation zone (home school assignments will not be impacted); adding home school performance and socioeconomic status priorities in the school options lottery and; revising school options entry and continuation requirements.
