Bullying Prevention

Families and Community Member Information

Bullying doesn’t happen only at school and no community is “safe” from the devastating effects of childhood violence. Because violence is so widespread, it requires a community wide response. Successful initiatives rely on coordinated participation by school districts, law enforcement, juvenile justice systems, early childhood educators, mental health providers, faith based organizations, community, and families.

Here are four Steps YOU can take to prevent violence wherever it occurs:

  1. Take the Pledge by signing below
  2. Support one another in living out the Pledge
  3. Spread the Pledge throughout your community
  4. Collaborate locally and challenge unacceptable behaviors of violence/bullying by Standing Up and Speaking Out
