How to Register for a Class

If your student is at least 14 ½ years old and attends a Mecklenburg County public school, private school, charter school, or home school, they may register to take Driver Education through Jordan Driving School Charlotte. For students who attend any school outside of Mecklenburg County, they will need to contact the public school system in the county where they atttend school and inquire about the Driver Education program for that county. Residency in Mecklenburg County does not determine Driver Education eligibility; where the student attends school is the determining factor. Mecklenburg County students who are older than 18 years old, but are still in high school are eligible to take Driver Education, but will need to read the “over 18” Driver Education policy.

It will be the choice of each high school as to what sessions they actually choose to hold. Click here to see the list of scheduled Driver Education sessions in Mecklenburg County. Click here to see the list of Driver Education Site Coordinators and their contact information.

To guarantee a spot in any of our sessions, you may register and pay online BEFORE the class cutoff date with a credit card by clicking on the “Register and Pay Now” link found under each session that is open for registration. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can still guarantee a spot in a session and receive a receipt by coming by the Jordan Driving School offices before the class cutoff date and pre-registering.
