Summer Driver Education 2016:

Registration for Summer 2016 Driver Education classes is now in progress.  All Summer School registration is processed through Online Registration at  www.jordandrivingschoolcharlotte.com and students will be assigned based on availability. Letters will be mailed notifying students of their class assignments. Classes are available to all public, private, charter and licensed home-school students currently enrolled in a school in Mecklenburg County. A student must be at least 14 years 6 months of age on the 1st day of his selected class.  There is a $65.00 fee to take Driver Education beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.  To secure and guarantee a seat in any class, the $65.00 fee must be paid in advance. Student are allowed to pay the $65.00 fee on the first day of class, but only if seats are available.

All 2016 Summer classes are:

• Monday - Thursday (each class will last for 8 days over 2 weeks excluding Fridays) 
• Class times:     A - Morning 8:00am - 11:45am      B - Afternoon 12:30pm - 4:15pm
• Students should come prepared:
• to attend class everyday and arrive on time. Tardiness will cause the student to fail the class as THERE ARE NO MAKE UP DAYS.  If a student drops the class on the first day before the class ends, he/she will be allowed to enroll in a future class depending on availability.
• to remain in class for the full class period each day.
• to follow CMS student behavior guidelines.
• with pencil/pen, notebook, and classroom materials each day.
• No tardiness is allowed and after class is over, prompt pick up is expected. Loitering on campus is not permitted

Six - 8 day sessions (3 morning and 3 afternoon) are currently scheduled for the program this summer. Classes are subject to cancellation based on low student registration.
