School Nutrition Services
Meals at School

Now through the end of the 2020-2021 school year, students attending in-person instruction will be provided breakfast and lunch at no charge.

All meals will be individually packaged by School Nutrition staff.

Meal Service

Upon arrival at school, students will pick up a breakfast from a designated location and continue to their classroom to eat.

For lunch, students will pick up their meal and continue to a designated area to eat. Lunch dining locations will be determined by each school principal.

The Menu

The breakfast and lunch menu for in-person meal service can be viewed here http://cms.nutrislice.com/menu. The menu is subject to change due to product availability. Milk availability will initially be limited upon the distrct's return to in-person instruction. Another beverage will be substituted.

All meals are compliant with the Nutrition Standards for School Meals established by the USDA.

In the coming weeks, limited a la carte selections will be made available for traditional middle and high school students to purchase. Students must present their bar coded identification card in the cafeteria and have money on account to make purchases.

Regulations for No Charge Meals

One breakfast and one lunch is available daily, at no charge, for all CMS students. Students attending in-person instruction 5 days per week are provided no charge breakfast and lunch in school. They are not eligible to receive meal bundles through CMS Eats at Home because they are receiving meals in school. Students attending in-person instruction for less than 5 days continue to be eligible for a meal bundle. Students participating in the Full Remote Academy are eligible to pick up a meal bundle weekly at designated locations across the district.

Touch-Free Checkout

We have some exciting news to share! There is now an additional touch-free checkout option for traditional middle and high school students when they are receiving their meals. Students will be able to access their individual barcode from their phones in a few easy steps. Please encourage your child to use this new option. Students will still be required to have their IDs with them throughout the school day and student IDs may also be scanned in the cafeteria. Instructions on how to get the new feature can be found here: Touch Free Checkout.pdf
