Parents/guardians of students who have received a referral for a level II or III offense warranting an out-of-school suspension will be given the option to attend a short term suspension center. Students suspended for a period of one to ten days will receive the option of attending a short term suspension center where they can complete their school assignments and receive credit for attending school. It is also designed to provide a structured, restorative, and individualized learning environment. This is a voluntary placement; therefore, transportation will not be provided. At the discretion of the Community Superintendent or designee, certain offenses may exclude a student from being able to attend a short-term suspension center.
