HB 965 goes away

Posted: Friday, May 31, 2013

Big win for teachers on the defensive side of legislative affairs: HB 965, a bill that would have required teachers to pay more to keep up their teaching licenses, was pulled from committee and is not scheduled to be heard again at this point. Both Republicans and Democrats worked together to stop this bill from advancing, as members recognized that teachers have not had a decent raise in pay in several years.
